Waulkmill cottage is located on the old Glendaruel Road which can be reached by taking the first road on the right on the B8003, just past the bridge over the river Ruel.  Past Waulkmill, the road is solely accessible on foot.

Directions from Glasgow Airport by ferry:
Follow the M8 and A8 through Greenock to Gourock to Western Ferries to Dunoon (Hunters Quay). When you get off the ferry at Hunter’s Quay, go right and follow the coast road to the T junction. Take the A815 to the right. Just after the speed restriction ends take the B836 to the left (Colintraive). Continue to the end and at the T junction take the A886 to the right. The B8003 is the first road on the left towards Tighnabruaich. We are located just past the bridge over the river Ruel.

Directions from Glasgow Airport overland:
From the M8 North, join the M898 to the Erskine Bridge. Once over the Erskine Bridge take the A82 alongside Loch Lomond to Tarbet. Continue straight ahead on the A83 through Arrochar. Turn off left on to the A815 (Dunoon, Colintraive, Cowal and Bute ferry). At the village of Strachur turn right onto the A886 and after 15 miles, just after the Clachan of Glendaruel, turn right again onto the A8003 towards Tighnabruaich. We are located just past the bridge over the river Ruel.
